Yokai Watch shipments top 500,000 in Japan

Level-5's 3DS RPG still selling thanks to new TV anime.

Yokai Watch

The packaged version of Yokai Watch, Level-5’s 3DS RPG launched last July in Japan, has surpassed 500,000 domestic shipments, Level-5 announced.

A TV anime for Yokai Watch recently began airing, bringing the 3DS game back into the weekly top 20 sales charts. There is also a manga and commercial goods. In its first month, a Yokai Watch “Yokai Medal” toy sold about three million units.

A western release for Yokai Watch has yet to be announced, but Level-5 International America started asking fans if they want it yesterday.
