Lightning Returns demo now available on Japanese PSN

Try out Final Fantasy XIII's final chapter before its February launch.

A downloadable demo for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is now available on the Japanese PlayStation Store.

The 1.7 gigabyte demo can be grabbed with a Japanese PlayStation Network account. If you don’t already have one, this video should prove a handy guide.

Additionally, the first three costumes are available to download for 400 yen each, or 1,000 yen in a set. They include the “Lovable Moogle,” “Shinkai no Sei,” and “Ultimate Liberator” outfits.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is due out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America on February 11 and Europe on February 14.
