Report: Left 4 Dead 3, Source 2 leak “100 percent real”

Sources indicate internal feeling of change at Valve.

An image from a Valve tour that surfaced this weekend showing Left 4 Dead 3 and Source Engine 2 mentioned in a company internal change log is “100 percent real,” according to Rock Paper Shotgun sources.

“Multiple sources, who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed as much,” the site said. “For the moment, at least, it’s probably safe to assume that both are in development.”

One source pointed to a purported e-mail leak from June, which mentions projects such as Source 2, Half-Life 3, and smaller scale works like Cries Unheard and Microbe Wars.

“The source declined to comment any further, but specifically pointed to it as something else well worth looking at,” said Rock Paper Shotgun. “It should be noted, however, that the leak in question referenced some outdated information.”

Further sources of the site have also suggested an internal feeling of change within Valve following the success of DOTA 2.
