Puzzle & Dragons Z Japanese release date set

Watch the animated opening movie.

Puzzle & Dragons Z will launch for 3DS in Japan on December 12 for 4,400 yen at retail and 4,000 yen via digital download, GungHo Online has announced.

First-print copies of the game will include a Puzzle & Dragons Z-branded touch pen for use with your 3DS system.

Unlike the mobile version of Puzzle & Dragons, in the 3DS game, players will select a male or female Dragon Tamer protagonist, and journey through various dungeons with the goal of becoming a Dragon Master and fighting the evil organization Paradox, who are bent on world destruction.

A U.S. release for the game was previously confirmed, but a date has not been set.
