Metal Gear Solid V coming to Xbox One

Kojima shows next-gen gameplay at Xbox presser.

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has confirmed Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for Xbox One during Microsoft’s E3 press conference.

A gameplay trailer premiered during the event showed an open-world Metal Gear Solid featuring a new bread of stealth (hang on the side of a horse!), real-time weather (like dust storms), various modes of transportation (like tanks), unparalleled strategic freedom, and realistic passage of time.

Characters shown include Kazuhira Miller, Quiet, Eli, Skull Face, Emmerich, Ocelot, and Code Talker.

It was not said to be “exclusive,” so expect a PlayStation 4 version, as well.
