Rumor: IllumiRoom to debut at Xbox reveal event
Subsidized $300 next-gen Xbox apparently "scrapped."
Paul Thurrott, who correctly leaked the next-gen Xbox‘s reveal date (as well as other still-to-be-proven tidbits), has said IllumiRoom, Microsoft Research’s out-of-screen projection project, will make an appearance at tomorrow’s console unveil.
He also said that the $300 subscription-based next-gen Xbox, which he previously spoke about, has been scrapped, leaving only the $500 base model.
Thurrott’s proven accurate on one count so far, but as Microsoft has yet to confirm anything, take his words with a grain of salt.
The Xbox reveal will be live streamed tomorrow at 10 a.m. PDT / 1 p.m. EDT.
