Yakuza 5 tops 500,000 shipments

Series shipments top 6 million across the globe.

Yakuza 5 shipments have surpassed 500,000 units in Japan since its December 6 release, Sega has announced.

On Wednesday, it was revealed at least 356,000 of those shipments were purchased by consumers.

Additionally, Sega announced the Yakuza series has topped 6 million in total worldwide shipments.

Since its debut in 2005, the series has seen five mainline titles, three spin-offs, a sequel to one spin-off, and an HD collection of the first two games.
