The next Xbox will launch within the next 18 months and support Skype, according to recent Microsoft job listings.
The first advert suggests the console will launch by the early 2014.
“Over the next 18 months Microsoft will release new versions of all of our most significant products including Windows (Client, Server, Phone and Azure), Office and Xbox, along with completely new offerings like Microsoft Surface,” it reads.
The second listing is seeking a “UI designer & prototyper for Skype” on “next gen Xbox and consumer devices.”
A Microsoft manager Brian Hall mentioned a “next Xbox” earlier this week, seemingly confirming the new console. Microsoft, however, has since said that the comment was taken out of context, and that Hall was simply referrin to the full line of products coming later this year from Microsoft, including the fall Xbox update.
