343 “not working on” Halo 2 Anniversary

Halo developer shoots down high-def remake.

343 Industries has shot down rumors of a Halo 2 high-definition remake… sort of.

Asked during a Microsoft Expertzone interview if we will see an HD version of Halo 2 before the end of this console generation, 343 responded: “We are not working on that at this time. We are kind of busy.”

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary was developed across three studios: 343 Industries and Saber Interactive (campaign), and Certain Affinity (multiplayer). It is possible a Halo 2 Anniversary is in development, but is not being created by 343 Industries.
