Final Fantasy XIII-2 launches in North America, first DLC dated

Lightning battle due February 7.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 across North America today. Square Enix has released a celebratory launch trailer, and have announced that the first downloadable content, the “Lightning and Master Sergeant Amodar” Coliseum battle (confirmed for Japan this morning), will be released on February 7 in North America. In Europe, it will release the same day on Xbox LIVE, and a day later on PlayStation Network.

Additionally, it’s confirmed “episodes” which will “enhance the experience and complement the narrative of Final Fantasy XIII-2 with storyline branches for key characters in the story,” to be in development.
