Sega: Wii U out “next spring/summer”

Nintendo’s Wii U will be out by spring or summer 2012, according to Sega executive vice president of marketing, Alan Pritchard. Speaking to GameSpot during E3, Pritchard was asked whether or not Sonic Generations, the firm’s upcoming 25th anniversary Sonic game, would come to the platform.

Generations releases this November, and the Wii U is coming out next spring/summer,” said Pritchard. “The timing just doesn’t work.”

Is Pritchard guessing a date or did he accidentally leak the launch window?
