This is how Kinect should be utilized

Ever wish you could play Dead Space using your Kinect motion controller? If you were a Kinect hacker and owned the PC version of Dead Space 2, you could!

A very simple (but effective!) demonstration of Dead Space 2 being played with a hacked Kinect can be seen below.

The creator of the video, YouTube user Kick755, mapped the actions originally initiated by keys on the keyboard to the gestures recognized by Kinect. Leaning left, for example, initiates the same action that clicking the A key normally would.

Here’s where the real question comes into play. If a Kinect hacker can achieve these results, then why haven’t we seen developers implement this functionality? Every Kinect-enabled game we’ve seen so far either has no need to move around, or is on-rails.
