Xbox 360 reaches 40 million sold

Microsoft has revealed in their fiscal data for the year that Xbox 360 has hit the forty-million mark, selling 40.2 million units worldwide since its launch in late 2005.

Damned impressive.

Microsoft’s provided a breakdown of how many Xbox 360s were sold each year. Even in its late 2005, the console still managed to sell five million units its first year.
