Waveling Island is a creature-collecting simulator that takes place on a beautiful, hand-drawn pixelart island packed full of mysterious creatures called Wavelings.

Washing up on shore with nothing but the backpack on your shoulders, you must catch, train and battle these creatures in order to complete quests, gather materials, and make a mark in this newfound tropical home of yours.

As you head out into the wilds with your Waveling gang at your side you’ll find new creatures, level up, and haul back materials that can help you craft this vast lot of sand into the paradise of your dreams.

Catch them anywhere! Wavelings roam the island freely, and battles happen right where you find them. No random encounters, no separate battle screen. Walk up and fight.

Build the island you want. Gather materials, craft what you need, and turn a bare stretch of sand into somewhere worth living. Head into the wilds with your team, come home with what you find, and make the place your own.

New Islanders. The islanders have quests for you, secrets to share, and stories of their own. Underneath it all, an island that’s hiding something.

And don’t forget to relax… it is an island, after all.

Explore new areas and gather materials with your Wavelings, then come home and make the place your own. Craft decorations, plant flowers, or build houses for your new island friends. Progress at your pace, or don’t progress at all!

Wavelings roam the wilds in the open no random encounters, no loading screen between you and the fight. Spot one, walk up, and take it on, beat it and try capture it!

You’ll battle along a party of five, and every Waveling can learn up to eight moves with a fully customizable move set to take into battle. Build a team that suits you, Lean into type advantages or lean into one strategy and see how far it takes you!

Battles

Battles run in real time. Your Wavelings will fight, as they wait for your command. your frequency bar fills during battle and when it does, you choose the attack. Time it right and take control of the battle!

Then, comes the catch. Wear a Waveling down, ready your net, and hope you’ve done enough to catch it! (some Wavelings are tougher to catch than others!)

The wilds don’t stay the same. Some Wavelings only surface in certain weather. Others come out at specific times of day, and some will be stronger and rarer than anything you’ll meet at noon. Make sure you time when you head out into the wilds! Heading out unprepared could lead to some trouble.

Story and Progression

Waveling Island has a full campaign with different scenarios based on what decisions you make. The main questline will carry the story forward and side quests are great ways to explore the world, level up and find secrets. The islanders you’ve come to know have their own troubles and their own reasons for being here! help them out and you’ll earn unique items you won’t find anywhere else, gear, decorations, and rewards.
