About
Welcome to the Reincarnation Ethics Program “Children’s Garden.” This is a puzzle game where you seek eternal rest.
A Puzzle Game Where You Seek Eternal Rest
This game is a unique puzzle experience featuring chaotic visuals, blending the stone-stacking tale from the Japanese folktale “Sai no Kawara” with “Onbuts,” the religious educational toy that inspired modern building blocks.
You, the player, have obtained a strange device connecting to the afterlife. Through it, you encounter a child who pleads for your help, leading you to take on a “Reincarnation Ethics Program.”
Puzzle Part: A Futile Effort
Sai no Kawara is the hell where children too young to pass on to the realm of the dead arrive. There, they are said to suffer the torment of building stone towers only to have them destroyed by demons.
In the program, missions are given to be completed using toys called “onbutsu” instead of stones. By completing missions, participants can earn additional lifespan to live longer in the afterlife.
Novel Part: Learn This World’s Secrets
The device seems to hold memories from the child’s life in the world of the living as well as a report about the world The device seems to hold memories from the child’s past-life and reports about this world. You can remove the blacked-out parts of this report and read them by consuming the lifespan you’ve earned.
Hidden within the blacked-out areas are information to advance missions more favorably and secrets about this world.
The child’s fate will be displayed on your device, all based on how well you complete missions.
Will he be able to rest in peace?
