POSTAL 2 Redux will launch for PlayStation 5 with PlayStation VR2 support, PlayStation 4, PC via Steam with virtual reality support, and Quest in spring 2027, with additional consoles to follow, developers Impact Reality and Running With Scissors announced.
“At its heart, POSTAL 2 Redux is a sandbox in the truest sense: players decide how each day unfolds, playing their way from mild-mannered to mayhem, in a living, reactive world where no two playthroughs are ever the same,” said Impact Reality CEO and co-founder Jasmine Uniza in a press release. “Returning alongside the POSTAL Dude is Champ, the series’ beloved canine companion and a longtime fan favorite, now upgraded with new ways to interact: pet him, bring him along, weaponize him, and more.”
Running With Scissors founder and CEO Vince Desi added, “When we made the original POSTAL 2, we set out to build something that didn’t exist anywhere else, a game defined by total player freedom. It filled a need, and we blew some minds along the way. More than 25 years later, we wanted to bring modern technology and game systems to that original vision, and the response from the community overwhelmed us. We’ve been hard at work to deliver exactly that, and to bring it to more platforms like PS5, and here we are. We can’t wait for players to get their hands on it.”

More than 20 years after the original, POSTAL 2 Redux exists because its community insisted. Funded on Kickstarter, where it hit its goal in a single day, and then built in the open with the players who love it, the rebuild is a collaboration between Impact Reality, co-developers Flat2VR Studios and Team Beef, plus original members of Running With Scissors.
