Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II ports announced for ‘PlayStation’
Both will include Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes.
Publisher Activision and developers Treyarch and Iron Galaxy will release ported versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II for “PlayStation,” the companies announced. Specific platforms were not announced, so it is unclear whether the game will be available natively for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or both.
Call of Duty: Black Ops originally launched for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, and PC on November 9, 2010. Call of Duty: Black Ops II launched or PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on November 13, 2012, followed by Wii U on November 18, 2012.
While the Xbox 360 and PC versions are still playable on modern hardware, through backwards compatibility or Steam, the PlayStation 3 versions are not compatible with PlayStation 4 and beyond.
The newly ported PlayStation versions will each include Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes.
