Inazuma Eleven: Cross announced for iOS, Android
Closed beta test sign-ups now available.
Publisher and developer LEVEL-5, and developer Aiming have announced Inazuma Eleven: Cross for iOS and Android. It will be available as a free download with item-based in-app purchases. A release date was not announced.
Closed beta test sign-ups are currently available via the game’s official website. It is available in Japan only. Only 20,000 users will be accepted.
Inazuma Eleven: Cross is a simulation game featuring an original story and a brand-new protagonist. It is designed for smartphones and features intuitive, command-based controls, allowing anyone to pick up and play, even in short play sessions.
Just like Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, players will take on the role of a coach and build their team. The new protagonist’s personality is different from that of Sasanami Unmei / Destin Bellows.
Gameplay involves team building, strategizing, and playing matches. In matches, players will not control each player individually, but instead act as a coach, with the outcome of the match determined by team customization and decisions during the game. Matches can also be played automatically.
LEVEL-5 noted that player data from Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is not compatible with Inazuma Eleven Cross. It will only be compatible with a future Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road sequel, which LEVEL-5 president and CEO Akihiro Hino said he has already begun writing the script for.
