Falcom will release a Switch 2 version of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter alongside its previously announced versions, and a “Prologue” demo is available now for PlayStation 5, Switch (Japan-only for now), and PC via Steam, the developer announced. The opening movie was also released.
The Switch 2 version of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter will be a digital-only release worldwide, with “no plans” to release a physical edition. It will offer a higher resolution and frame rate, as well as faster load times compared to the Switch version. Users who purchase the Switch version in either physical or digital format will be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 version by purchasing the “Upgrade Pack” for $1.00 / 150 yen. To play the Switch 2 version, you must purchase the Switch version and the “Upgrade Pack.”

This is a free demo version of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, a remake of the iconic first chapter of the Trails series that redefined the JRPG genre and set the Trails series on its legendary path!
In the demo version, players can experience the Prologue of the story. Any save data can be carried over to the full version of the game to continue the journey. (Some specifications from the demo may differ from the final version.)
