
underDOGS has released the gameplay reveal trailer for Mukti, its upcoming first-person narrative adventure game part of Sony Interactive Entertainment‘s India Hero Project.
“Being a part of Sony India Hero Project didn’t just give us fuel to bring our vision to life, it also reaffirmed our belief that Indian stories belong on the world stage,” says Mukti game director and underDOGS founder and CEO Vaibhav Chavan in a press release. “Now, we’re thrilled to finally give you a glimpse of what we’ve been crafting behind the scenes.”

About
Mukti is a first-person narrative adventure. The events of Mukti are set against the backdrop of a mid-2000s India, putting players in the role of Arya, a young woman searching for her grandfather in a sprawling museum owned by him. Players will piece together the mystery of his disappearance while uncovering harrowing truths and hidden narratives behind the scourge of human trafficking.
Mukti is a part of Sony’s prestigious India Hero Project. underDOGS Studio has been working with Sony to bring Mukti to life for over a year.
PlayStation 5 Features
Built to harness the power of the PS5 and PS5 Pro, Mukti‘s immersive environments, intense sequences, and emotionally-driven scenes are best experienced in 4K. underDOGS Studio is also working closely with PlayStation to ensure haptics and adaptive triggers—key features of Sony’s iconic PS5 DualSense controller are tuned to enhance the experience such subtle vibrations during moments of quiet puzzle-solving.

In addition to this, underDOGS Studio has revealed the tentative specifications for the PC version of Mukti. They are as follows:

The Steam version of Mukti will also support achievements, family sharing, and will have full controller support to boot.
Mukti will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. A release date has yet to be announced.
