Free-to-play player-versus-player-versus-environment mech shooter Steel Hunters will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on April 2, developer Wargaming announced.
“We want to build Steel Hunters with you,” Wargaming said in a statement. “By starting in Early Access we can refine and expand the game together ensuring every shot fired and every Hunter unleashed is finely tuned. And don’t worry—this won’t be a drawn-out process. Our goal is to move quickly to a full release once your feedback has helped us polish the core experience.”
The Early Access version represents “a polished foundation of Steel Hunters,” including core gameplay mechanics, maps, Hunters, and progression systems. The full version will feature more content, improved quality-of-life features and progression, and polished mechanics based on community feedback. The Early Access version will also initially launch without monetization to focus on refining gameplay. Monetization will be introduced gradually over the course of Early Access.
