Here is an overview of the game, via its retail listings:
Taiko Risshiden V is a “reKoeition game*” released for PC in 2004 as the fifth game in the Taiko Risshiden series, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2022.
As a warrior, you can aim to gain a castle; as a merchant, you can aim to become the official dealer of the daimyo families; as a ninja, you can learn ninjutsu while operating in the shadows; the player is free to decide how they survive in the world of Sengoku era Japan. You can also become a pirate, swordsman, doctor, blacksmith, tea ceremony master, or various other vocations, and enjoy your very own life success story in Sengoku era Japan.
*A reKoeition game is a game genre unique to Koei Tecmo Games that combines simulation and role-playing, such as the Taiko Risshiden series, the Uncharted Waters series, and the Ishin no Arashi series.
Taiko Risshiden V DX maintains the original fun from Taiko Risshiden V, which is still quite popular due to its high degree of freedom, but adds numerous new elements including 100 playable officers, new scenarios, and more, allowing you to enjoy an even more diverse Sengoku era Japan. The game has also been remastered in high-definition and added various functionality improvements to make the game a more comfortable experience, including auto-save, an endling list, user interface improvements, and more.
