DotEmu porting over the Neo Geo cult classic.

Windjammers

DotEmu is bringing Neo Geo classic Windjammers to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in early 2017, the company announced during the PlayStation Experience 2017 keynote.

Here’s an overview of the game, via DotEmu:

Windjammers, one of the greatest “versus” games of all-time is back with online multiplayer!

Windjammers is a fast-paced head-to-head arcade game where two players face off on a court, and throw discs at the opponent’s goal zone to score points. The player with the most points wins. Incredibly fun and intensely addictive, Windjammers is the adrenaline rush you’re looking for!

Originally released on the Neo Geo arcade system, Windjammers perfectly blends sports and fighting games. Sharpen your throwing and sliding skills, use the best techniques to defeat your opponents, and become the world’s best player!

With five different game modes, online versus modes for the first time – including trophies and leaderboards – along with several unique characters and environments, Windjammers is poised to be 2017’s breakout arcade action hit.
