■ Characters

Kaede Akamatsu (voiced by Sayaka Kanda) – Ultimate Pianist

New Danganronpa V3

A girl who grew up playing piano from a young age, who played to the point where her friends referred to her as the “piano fool.” Before long, she won awards in a number of competitions, until she was finally awarded the title of “Super High School Level Pianist.” She has a cheerful and positive personality, and spares no effort to achieve her goals. She feels a strong resentment towards Monokuma, who forced everyone into an unreasonable mutual killing game, and inspires the other students by saying “if we get out, we’ll all be friends,” while struggling to escape with everyone.

Rantaro Amami (voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa) – Ultimate ???

New Danganronpa V3

A boy who cannot remember his “Super High School Level Talent.” He doesn’t particularly worry about it, but rather says he is “looking forward to finding out my Super High School Level talent.” While he gives off a somewhat superficial impression based on his appearance, even when the other students fall into disorder, he calmly confronts the Monokumas about their intentions, and has deep insight on the situation at hand. He sometimes acts as if he knows “something” the other students don’t. While without a talent, he is also a character of many mysteries.

Miu Iruma (voiced by Haruka Ishida) – Ultimate Inventor

New Danganronpa V3

An inventor who has created groundbreaking products, starting with the “Eye Drop-Style Contacts” that were commercialized. However, for her herself, the Eye Drop-Style Contacts were a failure, as her greatest theme is “How comfortably can one live while asleep?” She is confident and has a terribly sharp tongue, and utters reckless remarks and dirty jokes whenever she opens her mouth. Her attitude becomes timid when she is attacked by others, though.

Kokichi Oma (voiced by Hiro Shimono) – Ultimate Leader

New Danganronpa V3

A boy said to be the “Leader of an Evil Secret Society of Over 10,000 People,” who possesses a talent that may or may not be true. As for this secret society, as an organization even “Super High School Level Detective” Shuichi Saihara knows nothing about, the specifics of it are shrouded in mystery. He is a self-proclaimed liar who says suitable things on a whim, pretends to cry, and is considerably elusive. Contrary to his innocent smile, he freely criticisms other students with no hesitation, and never seems shy, saying, “I’m the evil dictator.”

Monotaro (voiced by Koichi Yamadera)

New Danganronpa V3

The leader-like Monokuma who summarizes the derailments of the other Monokumas. There’s a childishly clumsy side to him.

Monokid (voiced by Koichi Yamadera)

New Danganronpa V3

The rudest among the Monokumas, he is quick-tempered and has a sharp tongue. He’ll suddenly start talking without context without really listening to what other people are saying, and is often the one who derails the conversation. He regularly teases Monodam, leading Monodam to shut out his feelings. He has a habit of shouting, “Hell yeah!”

■ Class Trial Mini-Games

Excavation Imagination

New Danganronpa V3

Seek out an answer to the question by “excavating” the illustrations hidden beneath the blocks. There are three colors of blocks, and by selecting a block that extends to block of the same color, you can collectively erase the adjacent same color blocks. By erasing a block, the color of the adjacent block changes, so you should erase blocks while making skillful use of this rule and seek out the answer hidden beneath the blocks. If you end up with just one block remaining, you can forcibly erase it by repeatedly mashing buttons, but you’ll receive a penalty for not doing it within the time limit.

Brain Drive

New Danganronpa V3

Drive a car and collect letters positioned on the course to complete a problem related to the case. After you complete the sentence, you’ll advance the game by choosing the correct answer. Among the women carrying answers, attempt to continue your drive with the woman who carries the correct answer in the passenger’s seat.

Epiphany Anagram Ver. 3.0

New Danganronpa V3

Complete the answer to the problem by selecting the correct letters from the letters flying around the screen. However, since the letters are shrouded in shadows, you’ll need to rely on light that sometimes shines in to reveal the hidden characters. You can also brighten the center of the screen by using up your concentration power, easily revealing the hidden letters.

New Danganronpa V3: Everyone’s New Semester of Killing is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Japan on January 12.
