Tokyo Xanadu eX+ details playable White Shroud, enhanced Asuka, and EX Skills

New playable characters and skill type.

Falcom has released new details and screenshots for Tokyo Xanadu eX+, its upcoming PlayStation 4 port of its September 2015-launched PS Vita RPG.

The newly released media introduces new playable character White Shroud, who appeared as a non-playable character in the original game, as well as Restricted Technique Unleashed State Asuka and the new EX Skills.

Get the details below.

■ New Playable Character: White Shroud

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

A mysterious character who belongs to the Holy Spirit Church. He is a balanced type whose standard attacks and every skill attack are above average, and although a bit uneasy on the defensive, it’s leveraged with his high damage-inducing skill attacks and quick movements, allowing him to avoid enemy attacks and exhibit his matchless strength. He uses his own exclusive “Light” attribute, which is effective against every element—“Fire,” “Soul,” “Wind,” and “Steel”—with the exception of “Shadow.” He can take on the Other World Dungeons on his own to put himself at an advantage when up against large groups of enemies.

Shooting Skill: Crux Arrow

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

A skill attack that fires several arrows of light from the sky, which shoot through the enemies in front of him. Since it quickly and simultaneously fires a large number of arrows at the enemy, this skill proves useful when fighting the enemy from a distance.

Flight Skill: Punisher

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

A skill attack that projects a holy sword and basks White Shroud in a white, shiny aura while charging forward to attack the enemy at high speed.

Strength Skill: Acathic Blade

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

A lively skill that slices the enemy in half with a forceful swing of the holy sword from the upper right of the screen downward.

Cross Strike: Lost Albion

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

White Shroud’s ultimate skill. Following a charge attack with the holy sword together with the trail of a magic square of light, the holy sword is basked in an aura and fires a huge arrow with a bow.

■ Asuka Hiiragi (Restricted Technique Unleashed)

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

The heroine of Tokyo Xanadu eX+, who belongs to the mysterious organization “Nemesis.” Asuka temporarily unleashes her restricted techniques, greatly enhancing her various abilities. The Unleashed state bears a heavy burden on her body, and there is a limitation in that Asuka’s HP will continue to drain during battle. In addition to an increase in attack power, movement speed, and skill gauge recovery speed, all of Asuka’s skills levels are maxed out, and since status ailments and downs have no effect, she can also take on powerful Elder Greed all on her own.

■ EX Skills

EX Skills are a fourth skill following Shooting, Flying, and Strength Skills. Using the EX Points accumulated during battle, you can trigger a character’s unique EX Skil.

—Kou: Maximum Rage

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

An EX Skill that delivers certain death at the blow of an enlarged anchor gear. It’s attack radius hits those on the ground as well as those in the rear.

—Asuka: Icicle Nova

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

An assault-type EX Skill that charges the enemy at high speed after putting them down in ice by the flash of your sword. It strikes a wide range of enemies while scattering crushed gravels of ice, but its drawback is that you have almost no control during the charge.

—Mitsuki: Gordion Sphere

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

A shooting-type EX skill that fires a huge ball of magic forward, and delivers great damage and a huge explosion upon impact. It takes time to load up before shooting, but it is powerful and has a wide attack radius.

—Rion: Valkyrie Grade

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

An assault-type EX Skill that enlarges Rion’s wings and basks them in an aura, and charges at the enemy in low flight. Although its initial motions are slow compared to Asuka’s EX Skill, it can be controlled even during the charge.

Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is due out for PlayStation 4 in Japan on September 8. Visit the game’s official website here.
