Xbox Smartglass, Internet Explorer announced

Integrating "all the devices you already own."

Microsoft has announced Xbox Smartglass, a new feature for Xbox 360 and Microsoft tablets that integrates media content across Xbox 360, phone, and tablet.

If you’re watching an episode of Game of Thrones on your Xbox 360, for example, you will see a map on your tablet that follows the events of the show. If you’re watching Sherlock Holmes, you’ll see cast information. If you’re playing Madden, you can use Smartglass to select plays. If you’re playing Halo 4, you will be able to access Halo Waypoint via your tablet.

Smartglass will work with “all the devices you already own.” It will launch this fall.

Internet Explorer was also confirmed for Xbox 360. You will be able to use Smartglass to browse the web with Internet Explorer. It will launch this year.
