Volatiles is a fast-paced, top-down action roguelike where you build your own battlefield to survive an invasion within your mind.

Every run in Volatiles starts with a single tile, and quickly evolves as you expand your battlefield by fighting through alien hordes, gathering experience, and levelling up. New tiles bring new possibilities, including weapons, upgrades, healing, tools, defenses, and risky synergies. You control the way the map takes shape, making tile placement a vital part of any build. Trying new strategies and tile placements are crucial to success, as is learning from your mistakes. Failing a run puts you back in a water-filled tank with new knowledge that just might save your life next time.

In Volatiles, the fight for survival takes place in your mind, as each run sends you deeper into an analog sci-fi nightmare. Locked in a covert lab with no memory of how you got there, you’re told that this is treatment. But something buried in your mind is feeding you visions of battlefields and battles that shouldn’t exist. And you’re not alone in this nightmare: somewhere outside it, strangers in a covert lab are watching closely, while whatever is growing in your mind is learning how to take control.
