The Skin Stapler is a narrative-driven horror experience set in a decaying 1980s city drowning in crime, drugs, and moral collapse. Inspired by VHS slashers, grindhouse cinema, and noir crime dramas, the game blends unsettling horror with dark, B-movie humor to deliver a short but unforgettable descent into madness.
You play primarily as Detective Dick Slater, a burned-out veteran cop tasked with tracking a serial killer stalking the city’s streets. Known only as The Skin Stapler. You’ll also get to play as a full cast of characters as they are stalked by The Skin Stapler.
The Skin Stapler primarily targets young women in their homes and workplaces, skins them, and staples their flesh to nearby walls, leaving behind grotesque displays and distorted audio tapes that taunt the police and hint at something deeper beneath the city.
