The Faraway King
The Faraway King is an adventure video game developed and published by Out of Time Interactive.
About
A narrative adventure with exploration and visual novel elements. Join J.D. on a journey through the nation of Yoom to find the mythical figure known as the Faraway King and rid himself of his supposed curse. But should J.D. trust his bizarre companion, Zxtabella?
Find the Alterations, Find the King
Having journeyed to the nation of Yoom to find The Faraway King and get his life back on track, J.D. finds his quest entwined with that of the mysterious and inexplicable Zxtabella. Helping her locate The Seven Alterations, based on her vague and cryptic visions, appears to be the only way he can find the legendary “king.”
Unravel the Truth, Probe the Mysteries
Can he trust Zxtabella? Does The Faraway King exist? What manner of being are they working for with these “Alterations”? And why J.D.?
And anyway, what is the purpose, if any, of the Alterations? Is Zxtabella right to claim it’s all far beyond human comprehension, so he shouldn’t worry about it?
And will he ever get his life back on track? Back to what it was meant to be?
Explore Yoom, Meet the Locals
Travel the nation, track down The Seven Alterations, investigate the mystical secrets buried in the ancient history of Yoom, and help J.D find a new direction in his life.
Meet fishermen, artists, and members of a bureaucratic cult. Visit coastal villages, cities, and remote forests.
Or try a road at random and who knows what you’ll find?
