GRASS
GRASS is a cooperative simulation video game developed and published by Cosmic Dog.
About
GRASS is a super chill, cooperative lawn-care simulator. Players restore messy yards using a variety of tools while working together to clean, trim, and transform each property. Each level is a unique playground of systems, obstacles, and environmental puzzles that reward players for exploration and cooperation.
The grass is the total rockstar here. Every single blade bends, sways in the breeze, reacts to your little RCMD (remote control rowing device), and gets sliced up in real time. Completing a level rewards the player for a job well done with visually satisfying accomplishment. GRASS perfect blend of relaxing meditation and silly co-op chaos. It’s welcoming, it’s funny, and there’s a surprising amount of systemic depth hiding under the surface.
Grab your friends and team up, or go it solo, to mow, trim, and fix up the wildest, overgrown yards you can imagine in a colorful, futuristic sci-fi world. We’ve coupled thoughtfully designed levels with memorable characters and locations for a wholesome, cozy experience.
What is the Story?
In a far-away, yet recognizable future, a remote worker from the disparaged “Capitol” finds a job running a lawn care business in the working class town of Fescue. If they are able to pay off their debts tending the yards of the elite clientele in the neighboring “Brometec Vacation Domes,” they can officially take over the business and move away from the dystopic Capitol city. And in the meantime, they’ll work to build up their own future community by completing quests for their neighbors. Our game emphasizes a message of community, doing what you can, and finding joy even in a dark, uncaring world.

Our Vision
GRASSwas conceived with a question: what if the grass wasn’t a part of the background, but the main event of the game?
We absolutely loved the gorgeous grass in games like Ghost of Tsushima and Breath of the Wild, and the way it interacts with both the player and the environment. Crouching in it, slashing through it, watching it bow in the wind! We wanted to grab that feeling and turn it into something you could play around with.
Why This is Different
In GRASS, every single blade of grass is alive and part of a shared, systemic playground. If you’re a fan of the tactile satisfaction in games like PowerWash Simulator, the comical collaboration in games like Overcooked!, or the meaningful community-building in games like My Time at Sandrock, you’ll love the organic, social feel of getting things done in GRASS.
