These wayward are classified as “Spirit Permanent Resident (SPR)”, or “Soul Squatters”. Most of them eventually fade into obscurity, but a mischievous few hone their spiritual powers to meddle with the living, birthing urban legends that straddle horror and dark comedy.

Paranormal Adventure Game

Ghost Hunting Journal is a narrative-driven adventure game set in the fictional Chinese metropolis of Riverun. Players control a duo of unconventional Spirit Agents—polar opposites in personality and abilities. Roam the city, switch between partners, and tackle missions including but not limited to:

  • Aberrant Spirit Standardization Protocol (Spirit Purification)
  • Paranormal Incident Due Process Expulsion (Spirit Eviction)
  • Public Malevolence Hazard Mitigation (Malevolence Suppression)

Main Characters

  • Joe – The couch potato mystic. Gifted with spiritual power, raw psychic manipulation abilities. Self-proclaimed “Platonic Guardians” (if napping counts as a virtue).
  • Jolin – The pocket-sized exorcist. Born with Yin-Yang eyes that see through spiritual realms. Besides the daily job of Spirit Agent, often moonlights as a viral live streamer.
