Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the Switch version of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III are the highlights of this week’s Japanese game releases.

The long-awaited Switch entry in the Animal Crossing series, Animal Crossing: New Horizons takes players to a deserted island, where they can explore, craft, and customize. Players will build a community from scratch, customize their character, home, and landscape, collect materials to craft, enjoy the changing seasons, get to know the residents, hunt for fossils, invite up to seven other players online (or three other players locally) to explore their island, and much more.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III, on the other hand, is the first Nintendo entry in the Legend of Heroes series. Originally released for PlayStation 4 in September 2017, the Switch version adds a high-speed skip mode and includes much of the game’s downloadable content, such as every casual outfit set, each character’s bathing suit, and the headgear set.
