Level-5 has changed the title of the Inazuma Eleven Ares game to Inazuma Eleven: Heroes’ Great Road and announced a spring 2020 release window for Japan.
In a blog post, Level-5 apologized for the miscalculations that have occurred in development thus far, which resulted in the Inazuma Eleven Ares anime series and its sequel Inazuma Eleven: Orion no Kokuin to conclude before the release of the game. However, development of the game has since moved from an outsourced to a fully in-house development system, which has allowed further system revisions to create a game with more exciting battles.
Inazuma Eleven: Heroes’ Great Road is based on the drama of Inazuma Eleven Ares and features additional episodes in which past characters also appear.
Like previous Inazuma Eleven titles, the game system will offer a high level of freedom in which player positions are indicated by the controller (or mouse). It promises to be a completely new type of RPG that incorporates eSports developments, as well as enhanced hack-and-slash elements such as battles and player gatherings. Level-5 also hopes to make a deep online system with a wide range of tactics in whch national tournaments can be held.
Inazuma Eleven: Heroes’ Great Road is in development for PlayStation 4, Switch, iOS, and Android.
