The Gematsu community Most Anticipated Games of 2017 vote

Hello, Gematsu community! Community mod-bossguy Zero here. It’s that time again!

We are currently working on our 2016 Games of the Year content, so be sure and look for that in the following weeks. While 2016 was a year of delayed games, 2017 has seemingly benefited, with a large catalog of games slated to release this month alone! And this weekend’s Switch news brought about the announcements of a ton of new game to expect this year. Then there are all the games celebrating major anniversaries in 2017, including Final Fantasy, which celebrates its 30th anniversary with a special event at the end of the month.

Okay, back to the topic at hand. While we do have a lot of delayed games coming out in early 2017, this year will also see plenty of great games come out as we head into spring and beyond. I’m personally excited for a number of games. I just recently played the excellent demo for NieR: Automata, which is coming out in March. Let’s not forget Horizon: Zero Dawn, Nioh, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Dragon Quest XI (in Japan, at least)—the list just goes on and on! I also expect some surprise announcements throughout the year. One thing is for sure: there’s plenty of things to be excited about when it comes to video games in 2017.

How about you? What games are you most excited to play in 2017? Just like last year, we’ve made a special poll covering a ton of upcoming games. What are your top five most anticipated titles? Cast your vote and be sure to let us know what you voted for and why in the comments below! I’ll be reading and selecting a handful of comments to include in the top 10 most anticipated games post. Also, if you want to vote for a game that we missed in the poll, let us know in the comments and we’ll add it in.

Thanks for voting and be sure to check back soon to see the results!

What are your most anticipated games of 2017? (Pick five.)
