Dragon Quest Heroes II won the Gold Prize at PlayStation Awards 2016, meaning that it sold over 500,000 copies in Japan and Asia. And during an interview after the ceremony, Koei Tecmo Games director Tomohiko Sho may have hinted at the existence of a Dragon Quest Heroes III.

Tomohiko Sho (Director): “I think we were able to get this result by having fun making the game, including development. (While sending a look to Square Enix producer Ryota Aomi) From here on as well… I accidentally said “from here on” but… well… it’s best if I didn’t say. ”

Ryota Aomi (Producer): “What, I’m going to make you stop saying such meaningful things!”

After that Ken Maeda of comic duo Slim Club commented “If there is a III, I want to do the dubbing for the Red Balzack.” Both Sho and Aomi laughed at this, then replied, “Well, there may be. It’s possible. Monsters also have voices, so…”
