#5: Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness (PS4)

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness

I’ve been a fan of Star Ocean for a long time. My first Star Ocean game was Star Ocean: The Second Story on the original PlayStation. I loved that game. I even remember watching the anime based on the game, Star Ocean EX. It was okay, but I think I liked it more just because it was Star Ocean. It’s no surprise that tri-Ace is one of my favorite developers—I always have a blast with the combat systems they create. Personally, I feel Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is the best in the series. The team working on Star Ocean 5 has said that it’s drawing cues from Star Ocean 3 and that it wants to meet the expecations of the fans. Everything they have shown so far looks extremely promising, I know I’m not the only one who thinks this. The excitement for Star Ocean 5 continues to grow with each new story here on Gematsu. I can’t wait to get my hands on Star Ocean 5 later this year! Let’s hope Square Enix announces the western release date soon.

kay: “I’m a longtime fan of the series. The battle system looks really fun (I’ll be impressed if they really can pull off seven simultaneous people at 60 fps when released) and I’m looking forward to playing features like item creation again. You can tell that the staff are really dedicated to the quality of the game considering they made all those new additions to the game based off user feedback so I’m keeping my fingers crossed in hopes of the game’s success.”
