#2: Final Fantasy XV (PS4, XBO)
It’s hard to believe that Final Fantasy XV is almost here. When you consider how long it’s been in development, the trials and tribulations this project has went through. It’s really amazing I’m sitting here writing about how it’s one of our most anticipated games of 2016. It’s finally coming out! Despite all of the stress the development team has trying to finish this behemoth of a game, they really have done an amazing job listening to fan feedback, making improvements, and showing us how they have applied these changes for the better. When Hajime Tabata took over, people immediately turned him into the scapegoat. When anything was announced they didn’t like, he was the problem. I always felt bad for him getting handed such a huge project and being asked to finish the game. All the stress from the fans, I can only imagine it’s been very tough. Hats off to you Mr. Tabata.
As Noctis said in the Tokyo Game Show 2014 trailer, “It’s been a long time coming. Almost there.” A final release date will be announced on March 30.
MisterS: “We had to wait a decade for this game! Tragedies are my favorite genre and this video game will be a tragedy. That’s enough to get me hyped, but we still have a giant open world, a beautiful soundtrack and amazing characters. Two characters are really interesting to me. Luna, who will be part of my ship (I hope for a good romance story, hopefully a tragic one) and Noctis, who tries to act cool to hide his insecurity. I’m really hyped to learn more about his story.”
Evil Ascendant: “I think we can all agree that Final Fantasy XV is one of the biggest games of the year, and it’s also been an important and elusive title since it got announced almost ten years ago. I’ve a good feeling that XV is going to be an amazing game at the very least, and I can’t wait to drive and fight my way around that huge and beautiful world!”
Axel VIII: “I was there when it was announced as Versus in 2006. I’ve grown up waiting for this game to come out and now we are close to it! The game is beautiful and amazing but it’s more of a personal realization to play this.”
