Early Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS buyers confirm new characters

Update: The full roster has been revealed.

Original: Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS isn’t out in Japan until Saturday, September 13, but early buyers are already providing new character and stage confirmations.

Find the roundup of new details below. For more, check out the NeoGAF thread following the leaks, as buyers are still playing through and unlocking more characters. Additionally, Twitch user Gema Yue is live streaming the game.

Ness

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

Earthbound‘s Ness returns as a playable character. He appears to be unlocked by playing through Classic Mode twice.

Falco

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

Star Fox‘s Falco returns as a playable character. He appears to be unlocked by playing through Classic Mode once on any difficulty.

Dark Pit

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

Kid Icarus‘ Dark Pit appears as a new playable character. He appears to be unlocked by playing through Classic Mode three times.

Duck Hunt Dog

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

Duck Hunt‘s Duck Hunt Dog appears as a new playable character.

Wario

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

Wario returns as a playable character.

Dr. Mario

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

Dr. Mario returns as a playable character.

Ganondorf

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

The Legend of Zelda‘s Ganondorf returns as a playable character.

F-Zero Super Nintendo Stage

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS features a new F-Zero Super Nintendo stage.

Trophies

Confirmed new Trophies include Wolf, Paper Mario, and Squirtle, meaning these characters are likely not playable.
