Gematsu and E3 2014

A message from Mr. Gematsu.

Gematsu and E3 2014

Hi, everyone! It’s Sal here (or as I’ve just randomly renamed myself in the tagline, Mr. Gematsu) with a rare, non-news story.

E3 2014 starts tomorrow. I’m not in Los Angeles, nor is anyone on Gematsu’s behalf. As a matter of fact, I haven’t been to E3 since 2011. And I probably won’t go back until we have at least a few more people on the Sal-o-clock staff—if that ever happens.

Those who’ve been with Gematsu for a while should know how our E3 coverage works. But I’d like to outline some things for those who haven’t been, as well as share some community-related announcements.

Basically, this is how tomorrow will play out: 15-30 minutes before each press conference, we’ll post a live stream. Once the press conference begins, we’ll post each announcement as they’re made. These posts will be bare at first, containing only what we can gather from the on-stage announcement, but will develop as press releases and official assets are sent out as the conference comes to a close. We won’t be making separate posts for these, because I’m sure you don’t want to see:

Some posts might take a while to fully update. I’m one guy handling all this, so cut me some slack, eh? Sometimes, you’ll get a situation where—for some reason or another—one company decides to take half-an-hour to send out their official items after a press conference. It’s annoying, and I hope it doesn’t happen. But it’s not something that hasn’t happened in the past. So don’t abandon me, because I love you guys.
