First look at Bullet Girls for PS Vita

D3 Publisher's new cute girl military action shooter.

Famitsu has gone up with its online preview for Bullet Girls, its new military action shooting game for PS Vita where you play as cute female high school girls.

As detailed earlier today in our initial reveal, Bullet Girls revolves around a group of high school girls who are members of the Ranger Club, which has them take up arms and practice how to conduct various types of military missions on actual battlefields.

The types of missions, or “training exercises” include both offensive and defensive varieties, with objectives ranging from simply wiping out enemy forces and reaching specific points on the map to collecting items and teaming up with other club members who will then engage in combat with you.

One of the main gameplay features revealed in the preview is clothes degradation. As the girls in the game take hits, their clothing gets torn up, naturally revealing more and more of what they’re wearing underneath as their health gets worn down.

Specific parts of girls’ clothing can also be targeted should the player wish to reveal a specific area. Complimenting this feature are a slew of cut-in images, as well as 39 unique bits of erotic acting meant to play up the sexual aspects of the game.

As mentioned in our initial story, the game also features interrogation training scenes in which the player can take part. These are considered to be an advanced mission type where the player can try to extract critical information from the opposing side, ostensibly by any means necessary. Like our other coverage and the currently available screenshots indicate, interrogations in the game take on a predominantly hands-on approach that involves touching the girls.

Famitsu also provided a handful of details on one of the characters appearing in the game, namely the red-headed Aya Honomoto. According to the magazine, she is a go-getter who tends to face things head on and only ended up in the Ranger Club by accident after her application was wrongly submitted to it rather than the First Aid Club she initially intended applying to.

Bullet Girls will launch for PS Vita on August 28 in Japan.
