Niconico streaming coming to Japanese PS4s this spring

Japanese PlayStation 4 owners get a third streaming option.

In addition to Twitch and Ustream, Niconico live stream support is coming to Japanese PlayStation 4s this spring, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia announced.

Niconico requires a premium membership to create live broadcasts. PlayStation 4 users, including those new to the Niconico Live Broadcast service, will be get a one-month free premium trial period to broadcast gameplay.

The Niwango-run video sharing website is known for displaying its user comments directly on top of the video. This will also be the case on PlayStation 4.
