I would not miss this title if I were you. This game manages to fix a lot of the problems that the series had before.

for the first time all the characters have their own move sets, everyone is de-cloned with no shared move sets at all. Every character has at least one playable role in a story mode stage.

each kingdom story line features multiple endings due to “What If” routs that cause branching paths. Because of this the story mode offers multiple play throughs for each kingdom. It features a sound track that is a combination of remixed classics along with all new tracks.

did i forget to mention that all 77 playable characters have their own move set not shared by another character?

Free mode has returned having been gone in 7 and 7XL. and they bring back a feature they haven’t had since DW3: the ability to play the opposing army in stages in free mode.

Missing this game would be a huge mistake on your part.

why can’t we get a Shaw Warriors game though

to be honest you should have waited for this one instead.

this one uses a COMPLETELY new engine and physics, the also made this game much faster, and i’ve been reading alot of forums saying this is what Dynasty Warriors 7 should have been in the first place.

im glad i waited though, i was tempted to buy Empires, but seeing as i want to collect all the side entries, might as well save that for Dynasty Warriors 8(Xtreme Legends and Empires are sure to come)

for me the only musou games i bought this gen are Hokuto no Ken’s Rage 2, Orochi Warriors 3(this is enough for the rest of gen, wish PS3 had hyper), and soon to be One Peace Pirate Warriors 2.

just recently got back to musou games since the PS2 days, and man i missed ALOT!!!

but at least there were lots of improvements over the years!!!

im waiting for Sengoku Basara 4 and Samurai Warriors 4 in 2014(both are confirmed for 2014).

im betting Koei will make the next gen Dynasty/Samurai/Orochi Warriors using DW8 engine.

and i would definitely love to play Orochi Warriors 4/Musou Orochi 3 using DW8 engine.
