It is certainly possible. The PS4 is looking a lot more compelling game-wise than I expected thus far, and it sounds like they are back to their third-party centric ways, which is the way it should be, IMO.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the system gets quite a few niche games that appeal to me within two years of release, whereas the PS3 and PSP took longer than they should have to gain a wide variety of games. (don’t get me wrong, I really like those systems though)

Sony really seems to be making almost all the right moves (I’d still like to see PS1/PS2 disc backwards compatibility), but considering how poorly they’ve handled Vita I’m still skeptical.

Sony’s got their game face on. Definitely excited for E3 this year. Sony and Nintendo will be out in full force, so MS should at least have something to grab my attention. This is looking like it’ll be the best E3 in years.

TGS should be good, too.

Now let’s hope that the marketing continues to be decent for not just a couple of AAA first party titles, but more for all of Sony’s games. At least do general system adverts that market all the new games coming out when there are too many to push individually.

Guess we’ll see. I’ve seen tons of GoW: Ascension ads, and I just watch my shows that I record and stick to Netflix all the other times.

Yep, I think Sony learned their lesson. They were pretty smug after the success of the PS2 and probably thought they were untouchable. I loved the PS3 myself, but the way they are handling things now is what they should have been doing for years. Well, now they got their serious faces on and the kid gloves are off. They aren’t really to be messed with in the coming console gen imo.

I saw how serious Sony was during their preview event for the PS4, it showed that they’ve learned from their mistakes and are ready to go forward.
