I'll admit I've had a good run but nothing beats a controller in your hand. So I'm hoping a lot of my iOS favourites get ported. Game Dev story was really great for example.

I'm a backer, but I didn't get mine yet. I think they're shipping it order of backing. I'm hoping I get it soon, though. I've still yet to receive a tracking number. I don't think you get what the Ouya is if you're comparing it to the PS4. It's totally not going for competition with PS4 or other well established gaming giants. It's basically bringing mobile gaming to the TV in a proper way. I personally plan to use it mostly as an emulation machine, but hey, I'll check out other games on it.

I fully expect this thing to be dead on arrival. Everyone's paying attention to PS4 atm, the next XBox should be announced soon, and then there's the Steambox and the Oculus Rift for PC gamers. Of course we can't forget the WiiU, 3DS, and the Vita either. There's even a NeoGeo Portable that came out not too long ago.

There's just too much competition.

Hmm is anyone on Gematsu a backer for OUYA? I really want to know how the controller feels. A nice little indie box isn't a bad thing, especially when affordable, though I'm not convinced it'll get as much of the android apps as I hope or that guys like Capcom and Square Enix, will port over their iOS stuff to Android first and foremost, then OUYA. Which is depressing because if Capcom came and said "We've got Ghost Trick and Ace Attorney HD Collection" I'd be sold xD Likewise, Square Enix bringing over FF1,2,4(DS) and The World Ends with You Solo Mix, I'd be real content. Everything else would be a bonus.

I would assume they want to keep things to a minimal cost, simply because their direct competitors are basically steam and mobile devices. If they come out with games with bloated prices... it's going to hurt them.

This machine is really built around indie games, so I dunno. I know Namco Bandai are working on stuff for it. So there's potential for something to come out of that. Personally, I'd like to see them bring Tales of the World: Tactics Union (currently avail on iOS and Android in Japan) to Ouya here out west.

My sisters boyfriend worked on their website and he gets an ouya for free and he doesn't know what to do with it so my sister and he want to give it to me and I'd like to have it but the only mildly interesting game for it to me is FFIII so I think it'd just be wasted on me. Anyone want to try to convince me otherwise? Like, are there any RPGs other than FFIII that aren't stand alone indie titles? Not really a big fan of indie games...

My sisters boyfriend worked on their website and he gets an ouya for free and he doesn’t know what to do with it so my sister and he want to give it to me and I’d like to have it but the only mildly interesting game for it to me is FFIII so I think it’d just be wasted on me. Anyone want to try to convince me otherwise? Like, are there any RPGs other than FFIII that aren’t stand alone indie titles? Not really a big fan of indie games…

Same here. There are actually a lot of games I'm looking forward to playing on it. Final Fantasy III, of course, Starbound, Mercenary Kings, Broken Age, The Adventures of Dash (though, I wonder if this will even be made considering its Kickstarter is ending in 4 days and only reached 27k out of 400k), that Human Element prequel, Kim Swift's new game, Delver's Drop, The Other Brothers, Rival Threads, Shadowrun Online, and Legend of Dungeon. Should be a fun little device.

Huh. Here I thought the software and UI would of been up to near final specs in prep for launch (even to kickstarters). Kind of lazy that it's not... but, hey. Still looking forward to playing around with it.
