If you can actually prove you do well in school, in communicating with others, handle chores, etc. than you should bring forth the argument to your parents and they will see things from your point of view. Heck, they might see a side of you they might not have known even existed. :)

They're so close- minded, annoying, etc., you know how parents are. That's why I'm gonna wait until college. I appreciate the words of wisdom though.
