Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams console release date set

"Re-invented cult-classic" platformer lands next week.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams will be released for Xbox Live Arcade on March 20, with a release following “a few days later” on PlayStation Network, developer bitComposer Games has announced.

The game, described as a “reinvented Cult-Classic” by the developer, will be available for 1,200 Microsoft Points, which is $15 on the PlayStation Network.

Originally funded by Kickstarter under the name of Project Giana, the game – which has been described as “the grandchild of The Great Giana Sisters,” a game released for the Amiga and other platforms in 1987 – first released on PC last year.

“In Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams,” said bitComposer Games, “the player accompanies the two very dissimilar sisters on a journey to a fantastic world in which the sisters’ different abilities are the key to solving puzzles and defeating terrible monsters.

“Giana transforms herself with lightning speed to solve puzzles or make use of special abilities. With each transformation, her environment changes too – and only players who skillfully apply the right strategy can complete tricky levels and defeat nasty end-bosses.”

Black Forest Games is responsible for the PlayStation 3 version of the game.
