As for removed comments. If its removed its because we are trying to prevent these types of comment wars from occurring.

I don’t personally like to edit out comments. We just don’t want to see people going back and forth attacking each other in the comments. It doesn’t add anything to the discussion when people are just responding to 1 UP each other with petty insults. (Kinda childish to be honest.)

Well my friends, I’m not an anarchist, nor a great leader of the revolution, but we all want to play the final fantasy versus. But Square-Enix is not respecting us and continues to release games saga Toriyama, then as I became the talk, we have to unite and boycott the next game not buying.
They have to show us and prove that versus is actually being done with a new trailer, a game player, a demo, whatever it is, because words are not enough.
They make more than 6 years we expect, and we’re all upset we have fans from all parts of the globe such as Germany, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Mexico, USA, Spain, Italy, France, Holland, Japan , China and the whole region asiatica and others I will not mention.
I believe that if this boycott she’ll have to move, because they need to learn to respect us.

I’ve been looking for a new MMO to play lately and I hope this will be it.

I’m not saying it would go away. I’m just saying resorting to name calling and acting more immature than those you criticize will not make it stop. Some people are just frustrated that a company they love would not release information about a game they want to buy. I don’t mind waiting for a new game but at least I would like information about a game that’s been in development for this long.

Insulting others because of your dislikes with them does not make you better than they are, it just shows that you’re even lower than them.

Actually it is completely illogical to write off all of SE’s other projects past, present and future simply b/c ones knickers are in a twist over vs13 not releasing on everyone but SE’s timetable.

We basically have “post wars” going on in here. This is what it says in the guidelines – 

If you have a differing opinion, discuss it kindly.

When you start making it personal, attacking each other, turning a simple disagreement into something more. In my opinion, that is taking it way to far.

Look at the comments in this thread. I bet you can tell me which ones follow the guidelines, and which ones don’t.

# 6 on the guidelines basically explains why we made them. – Enjoy commenting: that’s our main goal here. We’re trying to create an environment where our readers can share their opinions openly and in a mature fashion. We hope you can be a part of it.

This is why I constantly refer to the guidelines. They were created to make commenting more enjoyable for everyone.

#1 – Know what you’re writing: don’t comment if you’re going to flame, troll, or “fanboy.” Everyone has their preferences, and we understand that, but they are no excuse to repeatedly rant about a publisher or hardware company you’re not a fan of, or any game or genre for that matter. It doesn’t add anything to the discussion. Don’t like a certain game? Either share a civil explanation as to why, or move on to the next article.

This is the first guideline listed for a reason. When we (Moderation team & Sal) decided to brainstorm and create a fair set of guidelines, we talked a bunch about the contents included in the first guideline.

We really didn’t enjoy seeing these types of comments over and over again, we also firmly believe that the majority of the community on Gematsu does not enjoy seeing them either.

If someone is not following the guidelines, responding to them with a post that also ignores the guidelines is not helping. It’s not really accomplishing anything, in fact, I’d say its just steering the conversation down to that immature level.

I’m going to be working with Sal and the Moderation team again to create a news post on Gematsu addressing comments. We all feel that its necessary to do so. With that in mind, I’m going to end this comment.
