How they’re attempting to fix XIV is incredible – the passion that Yoshida has for the game, his willingness to make radical changes and the way he listens to the playerbase are the exact things that are needed in a good MMO, and he has them in spades. Adding another extremely talented and very experienced developer can only make things better too!

Even in the 1.0 state, the work done by Yoshida’s team to bring it up to snuff is obvious and huge in scale. I have nothing but respect for this dev team – and FFXIV deserves success after all the work they’ve put in to it :)
