Square Enix had “Accomplishments” in Dissidia and it suited it well. It’s not very original but if that’s what Nintendo goes with it will be fine. I agree with everyone else that at least a Nintendo platform is getting some form of achievements/trophies.

You get an “Accomplishment” for accomplishing something in game.

Accomplishments makes sense to me. After all in Street Plaza for the Nintendo 3DS there are Accomplishments. For those in Street Plaza you get them through meeting Miis from other countries, completing Find Mii and Puzzle Swap. If there are Accomplishments for meeting Miis on the Wii U that is going to suck.

Not really feeling the name. They should call their achievement/trophy system something simple, like “Medals”

Well, as Trophies and Achievements are already used by Sony and MS Nintendo do not have much choice left in naming their counterpart. Accomplishments sounds fair to me.

Man, I knew they were gonna call ’em accomplishments. I remember when there was an update adding accomplishments to 3DS Street Pass Mii Plaza. At the time i thought the 3DS games themselves had accomplishments and so I bought a 3DS due in-part to the accomplishment misunderstanding.

But Yeah, If they add ’em to the Wii U, I hope maybe they’ll add ’em to the 3DS via an update or something.

I like it better than achievements honestly. Though I really dont care for the idea in general. 90% of “achievements” seem to be purely to trick people into thinking the game has more content than it really does, so that devs can be lazier. I remember back in the 90s there was REAL secret stuff in games that actually took work to discover (even if you knew HOW it was still hard to do)
