They have been doing stuff like this with Assassin’s Creed on PS3 for a while now.

AC2- Exclusive content for PS3 version when you connect the game with Bloodlines on PSP.
ACB- Exclusive Conspiracy Missions only on PS3 version.
ACR- Free copy of AC1 included with the game.

I think Sal might have already hit the nail on the head. (Content from AC 3 Liberation.)

Like I said above, they did something very similar with AC2 on the PS3 once before. It makes sense, but then again, it could be more exclusive missions.

This is not surprising. If I’m not mistaken all but AC1 has had something exclusive for the ps3. AC2 had the weapons that could be transferred from psp game. AC:BH had exclusive missions, AC:R had the original AC on the the disc, and AC3 has the vita content plus this new 60min content. Also I would point out that the ps3 has had quite a few games with exclusive content that 360 didn’t get, but unlike MS who has to make sure u know of this content just to sell their system and games Sony does not mention such content that much, hence the “ps3 gets so little extra content”. Some examples would be Dead Space, Mortal Kombat, Street x Tekken, AC series, Ninja Gaiden 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Star Ocean, and Eternal Sonata just name a few games on both consoles that saw extra content on the ps3.

What does that even mean?
Extra missions? If so, why not say outright what missions.
Anyway, it’s stupid to do this with multiplatform games.

In reply to kmacd92. It's called one company gives more support for the game than the other, or one has more consumers for the game than the other. It also means that the PS3 better supports what they want out of the game and that if they could've made it a PS3 exclusive title without losing too many customers to justify it, they would've done it long ago. The Xbox is a heavily flawed system that was released way too early and still has so many bugs to date that you really can't find in the PS3 which has better hardware even in it to play games with graphics more like the actually intended ones for most games, vs the Xbox where most games have to be dialed down to work on it.

*sigh* I hate when developers do things like this. I understand why they do it but it doesn’t make it any less annoying :/ why have exclusive gameplay for a game on a particular platform? just have the same gameplay on all systems, means that people who want to buy the game for another system aren’t missing out
